Our cruise will start in Phuket, Thailand where we will spend a few days in this exotic country before moving onwards towards Mergui, South Myanmar which is considered today as the last frontier of luxury adventure.
Mergui Archipelago National Park has been closed to tourism for over 50 years and today offers spectacular untouched scenery among 800 islands. Visiting this area today is still best done by yacht. The local Sea Gypsy communities do not cultivate the islands but instead have learnt to live off the sea in a sustainable manner. Their nomadic way of life leads them to different islands in changed seasons where we can join them to experience their famous friendly personalities.
Mergui is known as a top destination worldwide for avairy life and untouched fauna as most islands are blanketed with rainforests that has been allowed to grow undisturbed for centuries. Walking through these environments can produce sights of Barking Deer, Macaque Monkeys, Wild Boar, Hornbills and much more!
On every day of the cruise we can pick out our very own secluded white sand beach. Why not go for a stroll along its shores as the crew set up camp for cocktails and barbecue. The area provides sheltered bays perfect for a variety of watersports while fringing reefs and seamounts attract fantastic marine life. Many guests leave this area having interacted with pelagic giants such as Manta Rays and Whale Sharks.
