Situated off the northwest tip of West Papua, Raja Ampat’s six hundred islands are remote, undisturbed, and a true nature lover’s paradise.
Bursting with colour thanks to its incredible coral, the warm waters are home to reef sharks, manta rays and whale sharks and offer some of the best diving and snorkeling opportunities on the planet.
On land, many species of bird including the stunning red bird of paradise can be seen, while local villages offer cultural excursions and some of the warmest hospitality you will ever encounter.
Arrive in Sorong airport from where it is a short 20 minute journey by private vehicle and tender to Lamima, your home for the next 7 nights. Once aboard, set sail for Batanta Island where we will anchor for our first night.
The smallest of Raja Ampat’s four main islands,
Batanta is the perfect introduction to the beauty of the reef and rainforest.
Early walk to witness the bird of paradise. They usually dance every day at sunrise before to leave their home tree for food.
On our way back we will visit a local village “Tapokreng” where we share a moment with the local, greet the student of the elementary school and may try some betel nuts.
Back on Lamima we will cruise to Kri Islands, long sand bank, good diving and amazing kayaking through the hidden mangrove.
One of the closest islands to the Equator in Raja Ampat, Kawe Island offers spectacular white sand beaches and beautiful scenery including a lovely waterfall on the western side of the island. There are fantastic opportunities for diving and snorkeling here too where you will find impressive coral formations teeming with schools of fish. You may even be lucky enough to swim with manta rays.
Arrive in the Wayag archipelago, the jewel of Raja Ampat, and enjoy a day amongst the region’s most iconic scenery. It’s well worth making the effort to climb one of the many island peaks for breathtaking views of the stunning landscapes. You will also be able
dive or snorkel, experiencing the incredibly rich marine life, or paddle board along the shoreline of the dramatic limestone islands. In the evening we can enjoy a few cocktails and a barbecue on the beach.
Wofoh Island is ideal for divers and non-divers alike. Multiple dive sites offer a mix of hard coral, barrel sponges and soft corals teeming with colorful fish. The calm surrounding waters are ideal for a kayaking and paddle boarding while the islands’ gorgeous white sand beaches are the perfect location for sun downers and barbecue dinner.
This morning sail to the beautiful Fam Islands to enjoy hidden bays
and sheltered blue lagoons. Explore by kayak or dive to see some of the most beautiful coral gardens in the region. In the early evening we will take a sunset hike where you can reach the highest point on one of the islands and admire the panoramic views.
Today we anchor in Tomolol Bay on Misool Island. This bay is home to hundreds of small karts islands which are each more appealing than the others, this is a paradise to explore with one of our tender and you can literally get lost in this maze all for yourself, the sea is crystal clear, very sheltered and the scenery exceptional.
We will visit a massive cave where you can either go with a canoe, paddle board or swim through, stalactites are enormous light is minimum and peace is everywhere. This cave is today a sacred site for the local people
At night you will enjoy a memorable barbecue prepare by our crew
Another magic place that you want to explore with a paddle board to enter in the shallow bays of the island. You will find a lot of bird life as well close to the reef. Wakeboarding between the little mushroom islands is highly recommended
This small group of islands is often the favorite place for the divers due to its very specific seascape. great marine life and amazing diverse and colorful coral.
